Little Brummie and Julia Hutt have teamed up to bring you a new work of art!

Julia Hutt is a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist residing in Kjipuktuk. Inspired by her own experience with pregnancy, birthing and baby-raising, Julia works with both traditional and digital illustration to create anecdotal scenes that portray snapshots of early parenthood. Common themes in her work include lactation, body positivity, and birthing people’s body changes.

In this new collaborative piece, “The Nursing Rug,” Julia shows a tender, calming moment of a mother nursing her baby in the comfort of the side lying position.

The second version of “The Nursing Rug” is available in a blue and tan colour way only.

• Sturdy felt backing.

• Approximately 35” wide x 24” tall.

• Hand made in Halifax, NS, Canada.

• After Care: Do not machine wash. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Spot clean only with mild detergent and cold water. Simply brush with hand or vacuum. Not to be used as a bath mat or door mat. Some shedding of fibres is normal.
